Jesse Whisler is the Director of Fundraising at Sole Strategies, where she leads messaging and donor engagement strategies for progressive campaigns across the country. Originally from Chicago, Jesse got her start in politics as a Canvasser before becoming a Call Time Manager and eventually a General Consultant in 2024. She attended American University’s School of Public Affairs for her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government (CLEG); and is an alum of the Public Affairs and Advocacy Institute at American University. Before DC, Jesse earned her Associate’s Degree in Political Science from Triton College, where she became active in local community, workplace, and campaign organizing efforts. Her work in grassroots politics is inspired by her belief that progress is built and sustained at the community level.

Jesse is also a member of various local organizations, including Women in Government Relations, the American Association of Political Consultants, and the Junior League of Washington. Outside of the campaigning world, Jesse loves comedy, the arts, and reading everything from poetry to economic theory. She spends her free time trying new recipes, attending performances, and touring DC’s many museums.
