Amani Wells-Onyioha is a dynamic political strategist, organizer, and thought leader. Inspired by the tragic death of Trayvon Martin, she committed herself to political justice and create lasting change in her local and national communities. With a master's degree in journalism from the University of North Texas, Amani, a Dallas native, honed her expertise while working with the Democratic Party in Dallas, various Texas state representative races, Dallas district attorney races, and the coordinated campaign of Texas Democrats, including Beto O'Rourke.
Currently serving as a partner and Operations Director at Sole Strategies, Amani is the driving force behind the campaigns of Democratic candidates who strive to effect true, systemic transformation in our government. Her remarkable portfolio with Sole Strategies includes a track record of over 400 campaigns, working alongside notable figures such as Attorney Lee Merritt, who represented Ahmaud Arbery's family, Mayoral candidate India Walton, City Councilman Daniel Carlino, City Councilwoman Lauren Rider, MOSES Action, and numerous other initiatives dedicated to positive civil, political, and community impact.
Recognized as a prominent voice in the political landscape, Amani is co-host of Newsweek’s The Debate, a weekly podcast featuring speakers from both sides of the political aisle, and has recently appeared on prestigious platforms like The Young Turks, Forbes Newsroom, The Fallen State, The Krystal Knight Show, Let it Be Known, Fox Soul, Diamond and Silk's Chit Chat, and NTD News.
